Sky Island Full Moon
“Serenity is the key to this. There is something very serene about a circle. It’s just so complete, in and of itself. There doesn’t have to be lights & darks. There doesn’t even have to be shading. Nothing. Just a circle…Every single point on that line is equidistant from the center. There’s something harmonious, serene about it, to me.”
Seamus Berkeley on creating Sky Island Full Moon
With profoundly evocative and seamlessly blended pastel colors, Seamus Berkeley transports the viewer to the otherworldly Sky Islands of the American Southwest. Standing on a subalpine plateau towering thousands of feet above the harsh desert, Seamus was awe-struck by the sun-lit glow of the full moon in the twilight sky. Sky Island Full Moon reflects Berkeley’s experience immersed in this archipelago in the clouds.
